The Nyonya plate draws from Southeast Asian table traditions, where meals are shared across many small dishes and plates are used generously throughout the day.
Embedded around the plate is the Ruyi cloud pattern, a Chinese emblem of fortune, harmony and continuity.

They also withstand extreme temperature change (from oven 180C to running water 20C) without cracking.
The glaze is also scratch-resistant. If cutlery marks appear, simply buff the area with a cloth and baking soda paste.
